Questions
How does online coaching work?+
You apply, complete a detailed onboarding, and I build your training and nutrition around it. Everything runs through your private client area, where you log check-ins and I make adjustments.
What does the £50 setup cover?+
A review of your onboarding information and the creation of your initial training programme and nutrition plan. It's a one-time payment.
What is included in the £75 monthly coaching?+
Your coaching is built around you rather than giving you a generic programme to follow.
You'll have a personalised training programme, nutrition plan, activity targets and weekly check-ins. I review your progress each week and make changes when they're actually needed.
Your training, nutrition and targets can evolve as you progress. The aim is to give you clear direction and remove the guesswork, while still making the plan realistic enough to fit your life.
How often do check-ins take place?+
Check-ins are weekly.
This gives me regular data on your progress without changing things unnecessarily from day to day. I'll review your weight trend, adherence, training, nutrition, activity, recovery and your own feedback.
I'll then respond personally and make any appropriate changes to your nutrition, training, steps or cardio.
If the plan is working, I won't change things simply for the sake of making a change.
Do I need previous gym experience?+
No.
I've coached people ranging from complete beginners through to experienced lifters. Your programme is built around your current ability, not where you think you should be.
If you're new to training, the priority is learning how to train effectively and building confidence. If you're experienced, your programme can be considerably more advanced.
You don't need to get fit before getting a coach. That's rather defeating the point.
Can coaching work around shift work?+
Yes. Your life comes first when I build the programme.
I've coached people with standard working weeks, shift patterns, demanding jobs and people who travel internationally for work.
I've even programmed resistance-band sessions for executives regularly moving between flights and hotels.
Your availability, equipment and routine are collected during onboarding so the programme can be built around the time you actually have, rather than an imaginary perfect week.
Can nutrition be built around foods I actually eat?+
Yes. I don't believe a successful diet requires eating a stereotypical bodybuilding menu.
Your food preferences, restrictions, lifestyle and goal are considered when your nutrition plan is created.
I've worked with clients following vegetarian and vegan diets as well as a wide range of normal dietary preferences and restrictions.
The quantities and structure are built around the goal, but the food itself needs to be something you're realistically going to eat.
Can training be adapted around limitations?+
Yes.
I've coached people with injuries and physical limitations, neurodiverse clients, menopausal women and people with very different training requirements, ranging from around 18 to 55 years old.
I've also coached clients internationally, including people in the UK, United States, Germany, Poland and Malta, so I've dealt with very different gyms, equipment and lifestyles.
You don't need access to a perfect commercial gym either. I've created programmes around commercial gyms, home gyms, limited equipment, resistance bands and frequent travel.
Your circumstances are established during onboarding so I can build around what you can do rather than giving you a generic programme and expecting you to somehow make it work.
Is online coaching suitable if my circumstances aren't straightforward?+
Usually, yes.
One of the advantages of individual coaching is that the plan doesn't need to assume you have a perfect schedule, unrestricted diet, fully equipped gym or completely straightforward circumstances.
I've worked with clients across different ages, countries, diets, occupations, abilities and lifestyles. If something affects how you can train or eat, tell me during onboarding.
I'll take it into account when building your plan. If I genuinely don't believe I'm the right person to help with your circumstances, I'll tell you.
How do I apply?+
Use the Apply page. I'll review your application and be in touch.
